"Bringing Tomorrow's Science into Today's Classrooms"
Founded as a nonprofit organization in 2011, BioBuilder is now the most comprehensive training program for engineering biology. We support teachers and students with in-school and out-of-school programming in nearly every US state and 35 countries. Our flagship classroom curriculum, textbook, and lab kits are based on the undergraduate curriculum in synthetic biology taught in MIT’s Department of Biological Engineering. In 2020, to meet new and urgent needs in education, BioBuilder launched a suite of online learning programs adapted from our curriculum.
With your generous support, we’ll continue to foster interest, engagement, and understanding of synthetic biology, with a committment to make it accessible for all students and teachers. Your donation will allow us to continue to provide programs at low- or no-cost to those who qualify.
The BioBuilder Educational Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization. Donations are tax-deductible and all proceeds go directly to funding the foundation’s programs and materials.
